Supported image acquisition hardware
Imatest Master and Imatest IT Acquisition library support direct acquisition from a wide range of frame grabbers and cameras, as well as industry standard interfaces like CameraLink, GigE Vision, and USB through DirectShow (Windows) or QuickTime (OS X). Direct image acquisition cuts out several steps in the image quality testing process and allows for in-the-loop testing with Imatest.
Is your device not supported? See: How to get support for your image acquisition hardware.
Note: As of Imatest 5.0 image acquisition capabilities were added to Imatest Master and Imatest IS was phased out of our product lineup.
Note: Imatest 2020.2 (October 2020): There has been a tremendous speedup for modules that use direct image acquisition (Rescharts, Color/Tone, and Uniformity Interactive). The speedup enables realtime analysis of sharpness. Learn more in Using direct image acquisition.

The tables shown below briefly list the supported vendors and interfaces. Before acquiring, please install the manufacturer's device drivers. Note that on Windows some devices and interfaces require that a third-party installer is run before the device can be recognized.
